In my last update, I shared how the new team putting together the Australia Corporate Travel Summit (ACTS) are working from a clean slate. There’s nothing like a fresh start - and the team are making the right decisions early in the build of this event.
The team has decided:
#1: There will be NO sponsored keynote addresses. The team are adamant there will be no paying-your-way to or sales-pitches from the ACTS stage, just the honest, transparent sharing of information from experts who have been invited to be there.
#2: To ask travel managers to buy a ticket. Yes! You read it correctly, the days of a ‘free-ride’ have ended - and the days of value-adding have begun. To offset the impact of not allowing sponsored sales pitches, the ACTS team is asking travel managers to contribute a small amount to the running of the day.
#3: GBTA Membership is included in a delegate pass. One of the smartest moves of the ACTS team was to tie-up with GBTA, to usher the global body back into the Australian market. An ‘ACTS Pass + GBTA Membership’ delegate pass gives exactly that: a ticket to ACTS plus 12 months’ GBTA Membership, with all the benefits that entails. [LINK BENEFITS TO GBTA PAGE ON ACTS SITE]
Listen to what Peter Harbison and Derek Sadubin have to say about ACTS…
It’s all part of the new era that is dawning with ACTS. In my next update, I have something very special to announce.
